A WHOLE-BODY APPROACH
Pain in one place is often linked to how the rest of the body is moving, and long-term pain keeps the nervous system on alert. Frank looks at the full picture, then combines hands-on care with education so you understand your pain and have tools to manage it.
• Gentle manual therapy: soft-tissue work, joint mobilizations and gentle stretching. No forceful cracking.
• Calming the nervous system: craniosacral and breathing techniques that can make pain feel less intense.
• Active movement: a few targeted exercises that fit into your day, not an hour-long routine.
• Kinesio taping: supportive taping between sessions when it's useful for you.
Frank is an RNAO Best Practice Champion in Pain Management and a certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner, with 25+ years of hospital rehab experience.

WHAT TO EXPECT
1. Your history: when it started, what you've tried, and what the pain is stopping you from doing.
2. Movement and hands-on exam: posture, how you move, and a gentle exam of the painful area and the areas linked to it.
3. Treatment and plan: your first treatment, plus a plan with clear goals. Most people know within 3 to 4 visits if it's working.

COMMON QUESTIONS
How is osteopathy different from chiropractic or massage? Manual osteopathy uses gentle hands-on techniques and looks at how the whole body works together, rather than only the sore spot.
Do I need a doctor's referral? No referral is needed to book. Some insurance plans ask for one, so check your plan.
I've had pain for years. Can this still help? Longer-standing problems usually take more sessions, but many people still make meaningful progress. If it isn't helping, Frank will tell you and suggest other options.

See a doctor first if back pain comes with numbness around the groin, new bladder or bowel problems, fever, unexplained weight loss, or follows a serious fall or accident.
